High quality in combination with a low weigth

The PP-S film is impressive as a result of its low basis weight and the favourable price, compared to conventional polyester and polyvinylchloride films, which results from the former.

Moreover, monoaxial stretching in connection with foaming prevents further tearing in the transverse direction. And on the subject of quality: the film does not absorb any moisture and is resistant to all materials used in cables. As a result of all of this, the film is particularly well suited for use.

The tried and tested solution

The foamed polypropylene film is a binding film based on a closed-cell fine-pore structure. It is ideal for use as a division film between conductor segments and the Al-Copolymer covering, for example in telecommunication cables.

Thanks to its foam structure and high tenacity, the use of PP-S as a division film in the telecommunication field guarantees the ”best possible connection”. And this favourably priced product has also proved its worth as a binding film in low and medium voltage cables (from 1 to 30 kV).
