The high temperature and chemical resistance of Lenzing PROFILEN® yarns have been helping to make safety and protective garments safer and more comfortable.

Lenzing PROFILEN® yarns and fibers have a very high flame resistance of 95 % L.O.I. and a high continuous temperature resistance of 260 °C. Garments made of Lenzing PROFILEN® yarns offer very high comfort due to their low friction and hydrophobic characteristics, this successfully helps the garments to stay dryer and to dry quicker.

Hoods, uniforms, underwear and liners all benefit from Lenzing PROFILEN®. Hoods are softer; liners manage the moisture and become sleeker; abrasion resistance is improved; garments become more wash-resistant; and thermal insulation is improved.

Lenzing PROFILEN® staple fibers and filaments are produced in colours and are highly suitable to improve meta-aramids, para-aramids, carbon precursors, P.B.I., P.B.O. and flame retardant fibers and filaments.
